The focus of this therapy is on breaking down and reforming the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones, and joints) that connect to the spine.
KDT-MRT therapy is not to be confused with the superficial massage at common local cookie-cutter spas (which tend to hurt more than help spinal issues). Dr. Kousouli tailors the therapy to the needs of the patient’s spinal progress with longer relief and posture correction in mind, and provides safe treatment to areas of the body that are not working properly.
With Dr. Kousouli’s help you may get relief where other soft tissue methods have failed you. This therapy is entirely customizable to the needs and preferences of the client with an increase or decrease in pressure as needed. KDT-MRT involves cross-finger rubbing and kneading of the upper and deeper tissue layers and focuses on the neck muscles and shoulders, where much tension is held, as well as the muscles of the back and pelvis.
Following a 45 minute KDT-MRT session (which may include other eastern healing modalities), clients feel relaxed and recharged. In the hours following a session, clients are encouraged to drink plenty of water to help flush toxins in the bloodstream and to rehydrate the body as soreness is normal.
